Avoiding driving in Istanbul traffic we arrived very early and found a place to park.
It was a big parking lot that allowed overnight stays for 400 tl per night.
Wasn’t great but had 24 hour security as did our second place below.

After another dawn dash across town, we moved to a new one that was 500 tl per night.
It had showers, toilets and a very busy washing machine and clothes line.

We travelled around Istanbul on public transport. I’ve written a post on that.

The Blue Mosque was free, the Hagiar Sophia Mosque was not, nor were the museums and palaces.
We were a little shocked by how high the entry costs were for tourists.
50 Euro to get into a single palace for example.

150 tl boat cruise up and down a section of the Bosphorus had some great views like this.
