Short terms Sim cards for tourists are only available at Baku airport arrivals. We paid 39 AZN at the airport for 15 Gig regular data plus 15 Gig social media plus some call credits.
Thought that was a bit expensive so only bought one thinking it would be cheaper in town. However, in town they said 6 month minimum term at two shops and said we needed to buy at the airport.
Was it worth 40 AZN for a return Bolt rideshare trip to go back to the airport to pick up another Sim card ? No, we shall manage with one, hotel WIFI and hotspotting the one phone but it will be agony without our own sim cards.
